Pig-breeding exports on the up

Every cloud has a silver lining and exports are becoming a ray of sunshine for East Yorkshire's troubled pig industry.
Export markets for breeding pigs and genetics are starting to reopen after Britain was declared free of foot and mouth disease following last year's outbreaks.
Breeding company ACMC, of Beeford, near Driffield, is celebrating orders worth almost a quarter of a million pounds from European countries.
As a result of the healthy export trade developed by ACMC, the company is now looking for farmers who will act as multipliers to produce high-health stock
