The Meidam is the world’s newest registered pure breed super-prolific dam line pig and is exclusive to ACMC.

The Meidam – which contains the genes from the hyper-prolific Meishan breed has undergone many generations of carcase selection for modern commercial production, while at the same time, increasing numbers born alive and reared.

Not only have we retained the many valuable maternal attributes of its ancestors but we have also given this new breed dam line a body to be proud of! The Meidam will produce more progeny at both nucleus and multiplication levels of production when compared with any other Great Grand Parent (GGP) and Grand Parent (GP) with a comparable carcase.
