ACMC Vantage FC Boar
A new registered pure breed
ACMC on-farm tests thousands of sire line boars each year, measuring individual feed intake, speed of growth and both muscle and fat depths to ensure that the most advanced product is available to our customers. ACMC's applied scientific development through quantitative genetics using phenotypic test data and gene marker selection has produced an advanced range of Vantage terminal meat sire lines.
Selection has focused on lean tissue feed conversion, lean tissue growth rate and muscle depth. Meat quality traits are also included in our selection procedures. All of this individual animal data is processed through the ACMC Gene Evaluation Programme (GEP) to create Estimated Breeding Values (EBV) for each boar.
Notwithstanding the individual boar's performance the boars are then selected for physical uniformity,
locomotion and libido embarking on
their working lives.
The Vantage FC
with its high level of conformation is recommended First Choice sire line boar.
After 40 years of breed development this newest of pure breeds was established in 1996 and through its pure pedigree breeding ensures minimum variation of type as expected from any pure breed
